Hours : Tickets are for sale from 9.30AM to 12.00 and from
1.30PM to 5.00PM. Even if you buy the tickets some
minutes before the closing time of the ticket's office, you will visit both cave and
museum after, except if the 700 visitors limit is reached.

Réservations : To preserve the Cave and the
prehistoric paintings, the visitors are limited to
a maximum of 700 a day. So it is better,
especially in July and August, to reserve by
telephone (05 65 31 27 05 from France or +33 5 65 31 27 05 from
abroad), at least 24 hours in advance (3 or 4 days in advance in July
and August). Tickets must be bought 15 minutes before the time at which
the tour is scheduled. Generally, on Saturday and
Sunday it's not so busy.

Groups : Groups can visit from January 15 to
December 15. For groups (at least 25 people) reservation is necessary,
at least a week in advance. Tickets must be bought 15 minutes before
the time at which the tour is scheduled.

Organization of the tour (1 hour) : The Museum can
be visited before or after the cave. In the Cave: guided tour in a
group of 25 people at the most, one hour long.
When you buy your ticket, the hostess tells you the very precise time
of the beginning of your tour, and it is printed on your ticket.
Booklets in English, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, Danish or Hebrew
are provided. They are printed with big letters and can be read inside
the cave at each station during the tour. Inside the cave, the
temperature is 12.5°C. Please wear warm clothes. At the Museum : both
film and exhibits are in French and English. The film is 20 minutes
long, the visit to the exhibition is free. No entry to animals.
